ETHSF Hackathon 2025

The ETHSF Hackathon is a week-long building sprint in the ultimate builder hub, San Francisco.
This is where builders, developers, and creatives come together to decentralize tech and unite the future of innovation.

Events Schedule

  • March 10 – Opening Ceremony & Kickoff
Kick off ETHSF with key insights, sponsor and mentor meetups, and the first look at this year’s problem statements: the opening sets the stage for a high-impact week ahead (invite-only, register here).
  • March 10 to 14 – Official ETHSF Co-working & Hackathon Venue
A dedicated co-working space at the Celo Office for ETHSF hackers, offering free daily lunch, an onsite barista, and networking opportunities. Register here and join their Telegram channel to learn more.
  • March 15 – Hackathon Judging (Online)
On March 15, both the Main Track and Sponsor Track judging sessions will be conducted online. Our panel of expert judges will evaluate all Main Track projects and select the top projects based on creativity, real-world impact, execution, and presentation. Concurrently, Sponsor Track entries will be reviewed to award prizes to the standout projects.
  • March 16 – Demo Day & Closing Ceremony
This is where everything comes to life! Teams will showcase their projects to the ETHSF community, judges, and sponsors. You’ll get to explore game-changing ideas, meet the builders, and celebrate the hard work that went into them.

Prizes

Total Prize Pool: 6 ETH

  • 1 ETH Award Each: Awarded to the top three projects.
  • 3 ETH Award for Quadratic Voting (QV): The ETHSF community decides who gets a share.

Track Eligibility Guidelines

  • Main Track: The top teams that are shortlisted after project submission, must be present in-person on the Demo Day to be eligible for the Top 3 awards. The Demo Day venue (in San Francisco) will be disclosed to the finalists prior to the event.
  • Sponsor Tracks: Build from SF or anywhere worldwide with no requirement to be physically present at the hackathon venue.

Note: The judges and organizers will only consider your Devfolio project submission before shortlisting the top teams and finalists for main and sponsor tracks.
Please make sure your project submission is as complete as possible (with demo videos, high quality screenshots, and well-written descriptions and problem statements)
